Zero-X Digital Camera - Can I use my camera as a webcam

With certain models of our digital cameras, you can utilize them as webcams, enabling live previews of a recording alongside content from your PC, whether for a work call or while recording a presentation.


Use this guide below to setup the webcam feature.


ZX-DC100:

  1. Power off the camera and connect the camera to the computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. Press and hold the Power Button and Shutter Button at the same time.
  3. Open the Cameras setting on your computer and select USB CAMERA under Connected cameras.
  4. To stop using the camera, unplug the USB data cable


ZX-DC200 & ZX-DC200SL:

  1. Power off the camera and connect the camera to the computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. Power on the camera and wait for 2 seconds until the Transfer Mode screen appears.
  3. Choose PC Camera and confirm selection using the OK Button.
  4. Open the Cameras setting on your computer and select General Image Device under Connected Cameras.
  5. To stop using the camera, power off the camera.


ZX-DC300BL:

  1. Power off the camera. Connect the camera to the computer using the supplied USB cable.
  2. Press the Power Button until the screen appears.
  3. Choose PC MODE and press the OK Button to confirm selection. 
  4. Open the Cameras setting on your computer and select UVC Camera under Connected Cameras.
  5. To stop using the camera, power off the camera.
