Zero-X Drones - What is headless mode?

Modified on: Tue, 8 Jul, 2025 at 2:00 PM

Headless mode is a feature offered on many of our drone models that allows for more convenient control of your drone. When headless mode is enabled, the drone will move in the direct of the remote, regardless of its orientation, making it easier to bring the drone home when it is far away from you.

This feature is available on these models:

  • ZXP-PUP
  • ZXMP-D400
  • ZX-DR1
  • ZX-DR2
  • ZX-DR3
  • ZXP-DR4
  • ZXP-PUR
  • ZX-SIR
  • ZXM-D100
  • ZXM-D200
  • ZXMP-D500
  • ZXMP-D1000
  • ZXMP-D600

This feature can be activated using a compass like button on the controller or in the app, depending on the model.
