Installing the battery:

1. Ensure that the battery is fully charged
2. Insert the battery into the back of the drone with the correct orientation

Installing a Micro-SD card:

The Micro-SD card slot is on the bottom right side of the drone

1. Insert Micro-SD card with correct orientation
2. Gently press in until you hear a click

Remove protective Gimbal case:

1. With the drone upside down, gently pull the protective cover away from the body of the gimbal
2. This can be placed back on once you are done flying

Unfolding the drone:

1. Bring out the arms of the drone to prepare its flight
2. These arms can be folded back in once you are done flying for compact storage

Preparing the remote control:

1. Make sure that the remote is fully charged using the cord provided
2. Wait until the power light turns green, indicating that the remote is fully charged

Pairing your remote control and drone:

1. Hold down the power button on your drone for 3 seconds, and wait for it to start blinking blue indicating that it needs to be paired
2. Turn on your remote control by pressing down on the power button. 
3. Move the left thumb stick up for 1 second, and then down for 1 second.
4. The remote control will beep and the lights on the drone will slowly blink alternatively in blue between the front and back, indicating that pairing was successful.
5. Wait for a sequence of lights on the drone to end in flashing yellow, which should allow the controller to automatically pair with the drone. This should be indicated by the controller LCD screen displaying drone stats such as battery life.

Settings up the "ZERO-X ASCEND" app:

1. Go into you Apple app store or Google play store and search for "ZERO-X ASCEND", and install the app
2. Connect the app and then go into your smartphone Wi-Fi settings and select your drone's internet connect.
3. Once connected, open the app.
4. If successfully paired, you should be able to view live feed and take control of your drone and its camera from your phone.
5. Please wait until the status of your drone says "Read to Fly" before you take off.

Pre-flight checklist:

• Check your drone, controller and device are fully charged
• All blades are installed correctly
• All arms are fully unfolded
• Camera lens is clean and free of dirt
• All parts used are genuine Zero-X ESEN products
