Zero-X Action Camera - Formatting your Micro-SD card

Micro-SD cards that you put into your Action Camera will need to be formatted to best be utilised for your recordings, this means that these cards cannot be used for other purposes other than for your action camera.

Follow this guide below to help format your Micro-SD card:


ZX-10:

  1. Make sure that your Action Camera is fully charged and you have inserted a suitable Micro-SD card
  2. Turn on your action camera
  3. Press and hold the record button to bring up the navigation menu
  4. Quick press the record button once more to bring up the settings
  5. Press the down button 5 times on the right side of the unit to navigate down the menu to "Format".
  6. Press the record button once more to open the format section
  7. Press the record button to click "yes". This will initiate the Micro-SD card formatting


ZX-20:

  1. Make sure that your Action Camera is fully charged and you have inserted a suitable Micro-SD card
  2. Turn on your action camera
  3. Press the power button 4 times and then the record button to open the settings menu
  4. Press the power button 3 times to open the hardware settings menu
  5. Press the down button on the right side of the unit to navigate down to the "format" section
  6. Press the record button to open the format section
  7. Press the record button to "confirm" and initiate the Micro-SD card formatting


ZX-30, ZX-40, ZX-50 and ZX-60:

  1. Make sure that your Action Camera is fully charged and you have inserted a suitable Micro-SD card
  2. Turn on your action camera
  3. Press the gear button at the bottom right of the screen to open settings. A pop-up with two locks may appear, where you may have to swipe from left to right and press the gear button again.
  4. Press the gear button on the left side of the screen. The current section tab should be highlighted blue.
  5. Scroll down the list by swiping from bottom to top until you reach the "FORMAT SC CARD" button.
  6. Press this button and follow through the options to format the SD card.
